Below is the story of Tatum Careyes journey…..
WHATS HER STORY?
Her story begins with her birth names: Tatum, meaning “cheerful bringer of joy,” and Careyes, inspired by the enchanting land of Costa Careyes in Mexico — a place of mystery, beauty, and cosmic wonder. Together, her names perfectly capture who she is: a radiant, joyful being whose energy and light bring vibrancy and magic into the world.
At just nine years old, Tatum began receiving uncontrollable channels from what she describes as extraterrestrial beings. While others dismissed it as “imagination,” she knew it was real — a living, vibrant connection to unseen energies that would shape her life and artistry. Today, as a young adult, she says these channels are more powerful, more vivid, and more present than ever, flowing through her life with a calm clarity that guides her work in profound ways.
As she grew, Tatum’s creativity blossomed from visual art into music, which she calls “painting with frequencies.” Blending sound, rhythm, and dance, her music is a direct reflection of her cosmic energy — inviting listeners to step into her universe and feel its movement and magic.
Now, Tatum Careyes is a multidimensional artist and performer, bridging worlds through her hands, her voice, and her essence. She continues to explore, evolve, and create, producing work that sparks joy, curiosity, and wonder. And while she has already shared so much, the real story of Tatum Careyes is only just beginning. .
HER BACKGRAOUND STORY
Tatum Careyes was born in London, UK, to beautifully unconventional parents who believed in learning through life itself. Instead of staying in one place, they traveled across the world with Tatum and her sister, visiting Africa, Mexico, Asia, and beyond. In every country, they immersed themselves in culture, but more importantly, her parents became known for throwing out-of-this-world parties filled with music, movement, and magic.
It was in this vibrant environment that Tatum’s love for dancing, music, and performance began to bloom. Her playful, colorful sense of fashion also started taking shape, reflecting the vivid, exotic world she was growing up in. Traditional school, however, was not her dimension; Tatum was deeply dyslexic and struggled in the classroom, but she never let that stop her from doing whatever she wanted.
When she was seven, her family moved to Costa Careyes, a place that would come to live in her soul to this day. A few years later, Tatum began receiving uncontrollable channels from what she calls extraterrestrial beings and asked her father for art lessons. This teacher her father found was a disaster, making young Tatum never want to do art again, but her father saw her potential and made sure she would rise to it, even when she could not see it herself.
By thirteen, Tatum discovered 3D art and developed her signature style. Tragically, two years later her father passed away, but the dream they shared — her first art exhibition — inspired her to continue creating. Her sister, Gatsby Robin Moellhausen, became her biggest supporter, protector, and hero, helping Tatum honor her father’s dream while nurturing her artistic and personal growth, and inspiring her to expand in ways she never imagined.
After high school, Tatum entered a period of curiosity and transformation, exploring who she was and following what lit her up. This four-year journey of self-discovery led her deeper into music, where she found a new playground for expression. Her mother, Priscilla Moellhausen, became her number one fan and guide, attending every DJ set and performance, introducing her to mentors and producers like Ryan Whitewoolf, and helping Tatum refine her skills and vision.
Even when life got complicated, and she sometimes doubted whether she could make a career from her music, Priscilla’s support never wavered. She guided Tatum back to her voice, her rhythm, and her passion, helping her reconnect with the joy and cosmic energy that music brought into her life. With this support, Tatum fully embraced her multidimensional artistry, blending visual art, music, performance, and cosmic channeling into a singular, radiant expression of who she is.
